I SPEND hours alone with my books because of the need in my eyes the house of words is underneath my tongue and my life is in it all else is a foreign land where I feel my infirmity and bitter strangeness held up by the hours I have saved with their cries and hollers my time and my terror go by go by the wind that enters the house is a breath from others that finds my breath and moves with it
