SHAKING THE MIRROR

I hold the mirror with both hands
another me another room

it looks like the same room and self
but I know it is not

there is one small difference there
if only I can see it

I shake the mirror to make it tell me
but the silence says all I will ever know

if I could spot the change
I would know which other room

of my life I am in
I could and would greet myself

it has been a hard journey
I would say but now rest

we are here and there is no need
to keep shaking so
