ACCOUNT OF MY DAYS
Sequence: 4
WE HAVE TO PROCEED CAUTIOUSLY
no one else must ever know what
passes between us or how it is done
it is a room which when we are in it
we can be reckless if we choose
all one knows must ever be kept
to oneself and to one other
selected far more carefully than
one could choose to be oneself
if you take my meaning though how
can anything be taken from anyone
while you have chosen to be so
cautious and so lacking in trust
which attitude I applaud as it mimics
mine of barely trusting anyone let alone
you whom I hardly know and haven't yet
told anything I wouldn't tell a stranger
