8/24/05 the dusk comes out and takes the woods into her arms they are very close a buzzing and scurrying surrounds them as though all the night-active creatures are their children drawing near oh these have real parents of course but the dusk and the woods have the kind of love for each other that attracts all those looking for a home a star or two looks on some come by who don't know what world they're in they just want a few minutes rest so happy these few moments that come each day it's as if dusk and woods have always been together but there was a time they each wandered alone brave careful superficially content while inside the breast of each a secret wish too sentimental to name stirred from time to time shy creature that lives by hiding
