ACCOUNT OF MY DAYS
Sequence: 4
EYES AND EARS
eyes very involved in silence
no violence there
though everything has its required death
the invention of or the intention of reading
a notice devoid of coma or ecstasy
reading in silence
for eyes this is a triumph
and they are not distracted
ears meanwhile kept busy with voices
cut off from their bodies
they are not about to admit wrongdoing
they demand an example
so it can be denounced
and insist on darkness
when the matter is decided
darkness and silence
a tingling below the collarbone
a satisfying birth
an agreement on death and a fresh start
